While 'F.A.L.T.U' talks about students deciding their own course of action when it comes to their professional growth ahead, in real life it was studies that bound the film's lead protagonist Jackky Bhagnani and made him quite nervous, especially around the examination season. Reason being that when it comes to studies, the situation wasn't as flashy and vibrant as it happens in his film 'F.A.L.T.U'.
"Honestly, what I have never liked is the fact that so much of our studies in Indian education system are theoretical," sighs Jackky who is looking at making a statement, though in it's own subtle way, in 'F.A.L.T.U', "In college days, we used to cram for one week, write our exams and then forget everything the very next day. You tell me, what's the point in that?"
Jackky did find some students around him who got good marks because of this trait but till date he wonders whether that would have really helped them in their career at all.
"At the end of the day what is it all about? Is it that whether you do a better 'ratta' (cramming) than me? Is one of us going to be a better student due to our memorising power? It is just so unfair and this is the point we are trying to bring across in F.A.L.T.U. If you can cram better than me, it doesn't mean that I am a 'faltu'. I too could do many things well, perhaps some of them even better than you."
