We all heard of going green with envy bit here Abhay Deol - one of Bollywoods finest actors is going green with passion . We mean Abhay is planning on building an environmentally friendly home. The star has already bought one acre of land in North Goa to build his eco-friendly dream house, construction of which begins in a months time.
We all know that Abhay is inspired by methods invented and experimented by maverick architect Micheal Reynolds famous for building Earthships - keeping true to his responsibility as ambassador of the Climate Project, India founded by former Vice President of the United States of America and maker of the path breaking Inconvenient Truth Al Gore.
The contemporary house designed by architect couple Vishakha and Muninder Chowdhry will reflect Deols personality and will accommodate 4 bedrooms, a master bedroom, a living room, an open kitchen and a dining room along with a 22-seater private screening room.
Reveals Muninder, Abhay wants a house that incorporates environmentally sustainable design .The construction will conform to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) platinum standards in its development.
LEED is the internationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings.
