In the times when every filmmaker harps upon his film being the most original of all, director Abhinay Deo is singing a different tune. Though he insists that the treatment of his whodunit thriller 'Game' is what makes it extra special, he smiles when questioned if the story of his debut film is entirely original as well.

"I can comfortably say that and walk away but the fact remains that whatever new or original that you may claim to do, people will still draw similarities with some other films or stories in some way or another," smiles Abhinay who finds it pretty amusing when people talk about going original, "It's okay though if people speculate. All I would say is that for 'Game', we made sure that our own conscience was clear around what we wanted to tell and what was its base."

Abhinay doesn't just leave his argument here. He drives one to further ponder over the fact that if one had to refer to Mahabharata and Ramayana, the base for all stories ever possible would pretty much find a reference point in these two tales.

"Just have a look in our own Hindu mythology, you would find every story here. It could be Hollywood or Bollywood but there would be some resemblance to some episode, whether in Mahabharata and Ramayana," Abhinay reasons, "These are some things that you can't help."
