Yet another Bollywood project has been offered an entry into the prestigious Oscar Library. This time its Ashutosh Gowariker’s period saga and Abhishek Bachchan-Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’ (KHJJS).

The Library of the Academy of Motion Picture and Science has requested Gowariker for his screenplay of the film for the permanent core collection. The screenplay will be useful for filmmakers, writers, actors and students worldwide for their research work.

The merits of this selection are not based on box office performance of the film but mainly on the artistic merits, original screenplay with a substance and the film as a whole.

Presented by PVR Pictures, ‘KHJJS’ is jointly produced by Ajay Bijli, Sanjeev Bijli and Sunita A. Gowariker. Other credits include lyrics Javed Akhtar, music Sohail Sen, costume designer Neeta Lulla, art director Nitin Desai and director of photography Kiiran Deohans.
