The best debutant of 2010 has arrived. Just when one was thinking that 2010 was ending on a dry note with hardly any mainstream male lead managing to make any mark in Bollywood, there is young Ranveer Singh who has come out of nowhere and made an instant impact. Word of mouth amongst audience as well as response from the critics is unanimous - Ranveer is someone to watch out for and would definitely cement his place in the world of films from this point on.

Ranveer stays on to be humble though about the kind of good words coming his way. He credits the awesome response that his performance is getting to his director Maneesh Sharma (who was himself a first timer) and remembers that it was his valuable inputs and feedback that he sought after practically every scene.

"One gets to hear all kind of reactions from people around you but ultimately, it is the director who matters most," says Ranveer, "My yardstick was dependant upon the approval of my director. I just wanted to know whether Maneesh was happy with a scene of mine of not. Once he said he was happy, I was happy as well."

Well, one can comfortably say that with the kind of response that 'Band Baaja Baaraat' is fetching today, it must be one happy outing for the actor and the director here.
