Aamir Khan himself has been surprising the audience on a consistent note, at least in last half a decade when he has managed to become a brand in himself. He compliments every 'Ghajini' with a 'Taare Zameen Par' and springs a surprise with as much élan in films as distinct as 'Three Idiots' or a 'Peepli Live'. No wonder, one waits to be surprised with 'Dhobi Ghat'.

"And trust me, the wait would be worth it", says Monica Dogra, his leading lady in 'Dhobhi Ghat', "No one has seen a film like this coming out of India, There are so many firsts surrounding the making of the film. It is Kiran's directorial debut which is pretty unconventional. It shows Aamir in a way that has never been shown before."

On being asked to elaborate, Monica says, "When I think about it, it is so amazing actually for an actor with such body of work to be constantly looking at reinventing himself. I can guess that it must be so hard for an actor like him to repeat something that he has done before. Still, with 'Dhobi Ghat', he has broken quite a few norms again."

Well, we aren't really surprised with that Monica.
