Producer Prakash Raj and director Radha Mohan have confirmed that their venture 'Payanam', which is an edge of the seat thriller based on a flight hijack incident, will hit the screens December.

At the same time, they rubbish reports which claim that the film is a true story based on the hijack of Flight IC 814. "Our movie certainly does not narrate any real incident," they say.

"The film is certainly not based on one particular hijacking episode. We researched various hijacks that have occurred over the years. I wanted to bring to the front the fact that terror can strike anywhere," Radha Mohan says.

On his part, Prakash Raj says, "Thanks to Radha Mohan and other members of the cast and crew, the movie has come out well. It will be yet another different attempt in our combination. Fasten your seatbelts and get ready for Payanam."
