Film maker Vipul Shah believes that it is nothing short of a surprise to see that Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai haven't been paired opposite each other ever. Though the two were together in 'Khakee', it ultimately turned out to be a game of deceit as Ash walked away with the character played by Ajay Devgn. However, it is only now in 'Action Replayy' that the never-seen-before 'jodi' would be pairing up in a conventional sense.

"Akshay and Ash are the two most good looking actors around. They are just so perfect for a love story. I am lucky to be getting these superstars together for the first time ever," comments Vipul who - barring 'London Dreams' - has always worked with Akshay Kumar, "You know, it is very important to have a fresh pairing in a romantic film, particularly so when the narrative has to be complimented by some really stylised visuals. It is actually quite bizarre and surprising that no one thought of casting them together."

Well, now that the opportunity has come knocking the doors, one would want to believe that the duo make the best of it.
