In her upcoming release 'Knock Out', Kangna Ranaut plays the role of a crime journalist. In a film set on a busy outdoors location, Kangna's character (Nidhi Srivastava) covers a crime scene where Irrfan Khan is held on ransom over a phone by Sanya Dutt.

While one does have a set view about journalists, especially those who go through quite some troubled times themselves while covering a crime scene, there is an apparent difference that Kangna brings to her character. Not just does she look way too proper in her dress up with her creases intact and her make up in place, she also carries a glamorous persona right through the film.

"In every profession you have people who do want to dress well and look glam. Nidhi Srivastava, the character that I play in 'Knock Out', is obviously one of those who is glamorous by nature, ambitious and smart", says Kangna who was last seen as a Diva in 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai'.

Remembering her school days, Kangna can't help but smile, "I remember when I was in school, most teachers would dress in a certain way. However, we had this one teacher who would always look fantastic and make this effort to do her hair stylishly and dress really smartly. I guess this was etched in my memory. Today, when I am playing a journalist, I feel I can be particular about this character's look. In fact if I was a journalist, that's how I had like myself to me."
