“Chennai has changed a lot. I knew Adyar as a village which has now become the heart of the metropolis. But my heart still beats for the old Madras”, says filmmaker Sudha K Prasad.

The former associate of Mani Ratnam, who made her presence felt with ‘Drohi’, the Srikanth-Vishnu starrer, says, “Though my debut movie is based in north Chennai (the birthplace of the city), I don’t want to be part of the rapid urbanization”.

“Even now I stay in a small village called Nanmangalam near Pallavaram. The place is so calm and beautiful and it is close to the city too. So I have no problems in living there”, Sudha adds.

Meanwhile, sources have it that the director is getting ready for her second venture. “A student of Mani Ratnam she is, Sudha is trying to explore something different in her next film”, sources say.
