Laurels were heaped on Dhanush at the music launch of his forthcoming film 'Uthamaputhiran' at a grand function in Chennai Tuesday night.

The crowded event was attended by many top guns of Tamil film industry, including Tamil Film Producers Council president Rama Narayanan, Sun Pictures chief executive officer Hansraj Saxena, popular film producers, directors Vettrimaran, Subramania Siva, Mithran Jawahar, actors Dhanush, Vivek and Genelia among others.

In his address, Dhanush said, "Uthamaputhiran is a beautiful entertainer. Though it is a remake of a Telugu film (Ready), director Mithran has made enough changes to the script to suit Tamil audience". He also appreciated his heroine in the movie Genelia and the music composer Vijay Antony.

Expressing delight at working with Dhanush again, Mithran Jawahar, who had directed the actor earlier for 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini' and 'Kutty', said, "I am happy to do three-in-a-row with a vibrant actor like Dhanush".

Hansraj Saxena said that Sun Pictures would love to present the film. "We have already distributed Dhanush's ‘Padikadhavan’ and ready to present two more movies of him- ‘Aadukalam and Maappillai’", he said.
