The South Indian Filmfare awards for the year 2009 were given in at a glitzy function Chennai on Saturday evening. The entire south Indian film industry was present for the awards to make it a memorable evening.
As always, the awards were given to Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam movies. And the show stealer in Telugu was Magadheera with six awards, including Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor!
Receiving the Best Actor award from Suriya, hero Ram Charan Teja, was elated in receiving the award. He thanked each and everyone who saw Magadheera in AP and around the world. He proudly said, it was his second Black Lady!
The awards for Magadheera are:
Best Director : S.S Rajamouli
Best Actor : Ramcharan Tej
Best Film : Magadheera
Best Cinematography : Senthil Kumar
Best Music Director : M.M Keeravani
Best Playback Singer (Male) : Anuj Gurawara for Panchadara Bomma Song
