Even amidst the unending controversies in Mollywood, one of the master news makers who was seen mostly in press meets and agitations, Vinayan is ready with his new film. Titled as 'Yakshiyum Njaanum', the movie is planned as a horror thriller.

Much of the artists in this movie are newcomers, as established actors denied from being in the film directed by Vinayan.

One of the highlights of the movie will be character of Thilakan who appears as an astrologer named Narayanji. Meghna Nair debuts in Malayalam playing the 'Yakshy', while new face Gowtham debuts playing Shyam, the young lover of this Yakshy. Apart from the new comers in prominent roles like Rikky and Shanil, Jubil Raj, the son of late Rajan P Dev also debuts into film playing the villain in the movie.

Jubin Raj had earlier been a child artiste and has been active in theatre. The movie will also provide a platform for Sajan Madhav, son of Music director Raveendran to debut as the music director. Sajan also gives background scores to this movie.

‘Yakshiyum Njaanum’ will also be the first movie to have shot in RED Camera. Cinematographed by Nawaz, in the locations at Ernakulam, Athirapilli, Kuttaalam and Kulathoopuzha.

'Yakshiyum Njaanum' is produced by Vinayan under his home banner Aakasha Ganga.
