Remember ‘Gokulam’, a feel-good film directed by Vikraman (starring Arjun, Jayaram and Bhanupriya) that made waves in the early 1990s. A new movie is now being made under the same title.

If Bhanupriya is the heroine of yesteryear ‘Gokulam’, Padmapriya is playing the lead in the new venture, which is the Tamil version of the recent Telugu release ‘Andari Bandhuvaya’, meaning kin to all.

Sharing the screen space opposite the actress is Sharvanand, an up and coming actor in Tollywood, who had acted in Tamil films like ‘Kadhalna Summa Illai’. Directed by Chandra Siddartha, ‘Gokulam’ is produced by Nayeem and Ramakrishna.

According to the producers, the film revolves around a lover couple who have different attitudes. A visit to a village however changes their perceptions on life. The film has music by Anup Rubens and cinematography by Jayakrishna.
