Yeah, sounds strange! But handling knives and pans is nothing new to our action king Akshay Kumar. Remember he had been a chef before he stepped onto screens? Haan, and it seems he is going to take the real-life role on reel… Na na not a ‘Chandni Chowk To China’ again… In fact it is gonna be a TV show!

Our birdies say that the actor has been signed for a reality show called ‘Top Chef’. The show is actually adapted from the American competition show of the same name.

Earlier we had mentioned that after coming out of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ Akki was keen to do try the small screens again. And it seems he has shown interest on this new show. He said to have been impressed with its concept. The show would have a panel of judges which might include some actors and also professional chefs, and participants from all across the country.

Birdies got these from sources that talks are on with a production house and things are slowly but surely getting finalised. Akshay is currently working out the show details including the changes they need to make in the show format so that the new version suits Indian sensibilities.

The show is expected to start by first week of August, by when Akshay is expected to work out his dates, sources quoted.

However, we still have not got it from the horse’s mouth… So let’s all wait till then…
