While her film ‘It's A Wonderful Afterlife’ is releasing today (May 7th), filmmaker Gurinder Chaddha is already setting the stage for her next venture.

Our birdies got this whiff that this director is going to make a film that is set against the backdrop of Indo-Pak partition. And amidst this a love story will blossom… Ooo romantic indeed….

As of know, Chaddha is preparing to take on a ‘research’ journey, for which she is said to travel all around to collect information on the partition. Birdies revealed that the director had even made a quick trip to the Wagah border in Amritsar quite recently. Besides, she is also meeting a lot of other people who were connected with the Army and reading up on the partition.

Well, here’s a hatke film in the offing, from the lady who gave crossover films like ‘Bend It Like Beckham’, ‘Bride And Prejudice’ – blending well the Asian and English cultures. Let’s wait how she blends the controversial borders…

Incidentally, Gurinder Chaddha has another project in hand which will be a children’s film.
