Bollywoods Mr. Perfectionist celebrated his birthday yesterday, sans pomp and pleasure. Following his fathers demise last month, Aamir Khan refrained from any kind of celebrations. The versatile actor had cut a birthday cake for the media and there he revealed his plans for the year.
Aamir stated that he is now keen to promote regional cinema and is willing to produce regional films hereon. I would love to produce regional language cinema including Marathi, said the actor who shared that this year he is seriously working on to perfect his Marathi and Urdu diction.
The buzz was on the rounds that Aamir will be keeping out of the acting radar this year and instead will focus on production work. In his usual charismatic smile, the actor said, This year I want to spend my time with my family members and will concentrate on my banner's three under-production films Peepli Live, Dhobi Ghat and Delhi Belly.
Aamir then went on to share his experience of his meeting with renowned Hollywood filmmaker James Cameron (Avatar). Cameron is a great filmmaker and is very down to earth, remarked Aamir, When I spoke to him I got an idea about his thoughts We discussed cinema in general and not specifically Hollywood or Bollywood.
The two had recently met in Delhi at The India Today Conclave 2010, whose theme was 'New Decade: Great Expectations'.
