RGV’s sequel to his last year’s runaway hit ‘Phoonk’, ‘Phoonk 2’ will release on 9th April and its promotion is expected to run with ‘Veer’ on 22nd January.

Milind Gadagkar, who has not just written the film but also makes his debut as a director, said, “Beginning 22nd January when ‘Veer’ would release, Phoonk 2 promo will be seen with every major film in January and February."

After ‘Veer’, filmgoers would be able to have a dekko at ‘Phoonk 2’ promo with ‘Rann’ (29th January) and ‘My Name Is Khan’ (12th February).

The movie, which has wrapped up its shooting in a record 37 days, is produced by P. Chandrashekhar and Prashant Burra, who are RGV’s relatives.

Milind was the writer of ‘Phoonk’ and in its sequel RGV has given him a free hand.

Last year ‘Phoonk’ surprised everyone by opening with pack houses, many insiders and trade pundits believe that the promotional gimmick of a cash reward for watching it alone did the click trick. It will be interesting to see how RGV promotes its sequel.
