We saw him gradually climbing the steps of success since the day in debuted in ‘Saawariya’. Ranbir Kapoor seems to have evolved as an ideal actor for the generation next. And now it looks like the young actor will shed his chocolate boy image to don much mature roles.

Starting in March, Ranbir has couple of projects that is Siddharth Anand’s 'Anjana Anjani' and Imtiaz Ali’s film. And in both the films, one will see a complete transformation in the actor; for sources say that these films want Ranbir to play the characters of a man and not boy. “In all his films so far he has played a boy just stepping into maturity and facing the hardships of life. In 'Anjana Anjani' he plays a man on the move and must match his physical appearance with Priyanka Chopra who’s chronologically older than Ranbir and therefore automatically perceived to be older than him by the audience,” said the sources. While in Imtiaz Ali’s film Ranbir is said to be playing an intense lover for the first time.

It is heard that the actor is working it out to achieve a muscled body. Ranbir confirmed it saying that he is indeed beefing up his physique for next year and stated that change is good.
