Here comes one more honour for ‘Pokkisham’. After winning accolades at a film festival in Mumbai, the movie has now been selected to be screened in the ‘world classics’ category at the Thiruvananthapuram international film festival.

And what more? The film’s director Cheran has been appointed one of the juries of the festival. “I am extremely happy. Though the film did not do well at the box office, it is winning appreciation from critics.”

“Since I am one of the juries, Pokkisham is not competing in the Thiruvananthapuram festival. But it will be screened in the ‘world classics’ category, where critically acclaimed movies from all over the world will be showed to the participants,” he says.

Produced by Nemichand Jhabak and V Hitesh Jhabak, ‘Pokkisham’ starring Cheran and Padmapriya in lead roles is an emotional love story. Set in the 1970s, the film highlighted the importance of writing letters.
