She looks sweet, innocent and like a wax-model. But no one can blame Giselle Monteiro for the last one! If you don’t know who she is, then well, she is Harleen Kaur of ‘Love Aaj Kal’. Till the movie got released, no one knew who the new face that played the character is. Now the question is put to rest, as the actress is now revealed to be of Brazilian origin. Now, it quite is surprising to see a foreign gal doing an Indian heroine role and that too to play an old fashioned character. It seems the director, Imtiaz Ali had not found suitable Indian girl and rounded on Giselle when she came for audition for another role in the movie. The director revealed, “Giselle came to me through dress designer Anaita Shroff. She was to play Jo, Saif's Caucasian girlfriend in the second half. She wasn't right for Jo. But my wife, who was there, suggested Giselle for Harleen. I turned and looked at Giselle and realised she is Brazil's Harleen. She didn't know how to speak Hindi. But she had only two lines to speak, which we dubbed.”

According to Imtiaz, Saif was very doubtful whether he will be on par with her on-screen, due to age difference. But now the end-result is there for all to see. And the pair looks wonderful. The age was not only the problem. The Brazilian lass had problem with Indian dancing style. The director further added that for a foreigner to get the Indian 'adaa' right is very tough whereas our Indian girls have those 'adaas' without being trained. But Giselle easily gelled with her small town character as she immediately related to the idea of the old-world values.

Sources also reveal that this 19 year old girl is latest attraction for the filmmakers. Hmm, looks like another Katrina Kaif is in the line!
