Talents cannot be confined to boundaries or borders. There are no limitations as to where a person will be taken, either through luck or fame. Destiny can strike any one anywhere. Such is the story of the Chirpy and cute actress, Pooja.

A Sri Lankan citizen and a well-known face of Sri Lankan film industry, Pooja flew out of her territory to achieve recognition here in Tamil Nadu. She established herself as a very talented actress with her first movie in Sinhala titled, ‘Anjalika’, where she did double role. Pooja became immensely popular there with that movie. With her debut entry in ‘Ullam Ketkumae’, Tamil cine field added yet another promising face to its huge family. But only few that, before this movie made it to the big screens, her next attempts were released first, namely ‘Jay Jay’ and ‘Attagasam’.

And after that we started seeing her more often in meaningful and simple looking roles like Jithan, Pattiyal, Thambi, Thagapansamy, Pori, Oram Po. She has worked with all the prominent heroes like Ajith, Shaam, Arya, Madhavan, Bharath, Prashanth, Jeeva. All these movies reflected common lifestyle with moderate comic relief. Pooja, who doesn’t carry the usual glamour tag, is unlike other actresses and has created an identity of her own. Mostly seen as a second heroine, Pooja has shared screens with other successful heroines. She is praised for her very outstanding performance in ‘Naan Kadavul’. Having played the role of a blind beggar in this movie, the talented actress was personally well-appreciated by none other than Rajnikanth himself! Her forthcoming movies are ‘Goa’ and ‘Drohi’ and we wish her all the very best and may all the success come to her.

Keep up the good work, Pooja!
