The gruesome history of the land of five rivers is going to be recreated on the silver screen.

Raj Kumar Santoshi’s new movie revolves around the terror situation in Punjab that erupted during seventies and eighties. The film will be produced by Apoorva Lakhia, who earlier had done ‘Mission Istaanbul’ that suffered a lukewarm response. The producer hopes to cover-up the bad attempt with this project as the movie features Sanjay Dutt and Big B.

The film is based on the cops who fought against terrorism in Punjab at the peak of Khalistan movement. Both the heroes are said to be donning the role of real-life cops. Equipped with intense research, the film will include real facts and space, similar to 'Shoot-out at Lokhandwala'.

Interestingly, Sanju baba is being offered yet another cop movie, ‘Lamhaa’. The movie is by Rahul Dholakia and is going to be on Kashmiri militancy.

Well, seems like it is a ‘coppy’ times for Sanju!
