We heard it through the grapevine – Amitabh Bachchan is looking into launching a news channel soon! Believe it or not, the rumour is that the screen legend is so fed up with TV news channels and media outlets that he has plans in place to launch a channel called India 24/7.

Sources are claiming that the idea occurred to Amitabh when shooting for Ram Gopal Varma's Rann. The movie has him playing Harshvardhan Malik, the owner of a TV channel called, India 24/7! Coincidence?

Adding oil to the fire is the stars’ blog in which he had often and persistently spoke out against the Fourth Estate. And given that India is in the middle of election fever, pundits would consider this the best time for Amitabh to wade into the pond. The only glitch in all of this is that Big B himself has denied all such rumours!
