Sibi Malayil had a long gap from regular film making for quite some months. After his big debacle in ‘Flash’, it seemed that the talented director may not return to filmdom.

But now with the release of ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ a movie which was resting in the cans for a long time, the tide has once again turned in support of Sibi. With plenty of good reviews that this Kalabhavan Mani starrer has fetched, the director is witnessing himself amidst a number of projects.

His immediate one will be with Mohanlal, one which will also mark his reunion with scriptwriter - director Lohithadas. After this movie, the discussions are on for another project which will feature Mammootty in the lead.

This will be the eight film of the actor - director duo, the previous ones being ‘Rareeram’, ‘Mudra’, ‘Thaniyavarthanam’, ‘Saagaram Saakshy’, ‘Vichaarana’, ‘August-1’ and ‘Parampara’.

K Gireesh Kumar, who is now a wanted man after the big hit ‘Veruthe Oru Bharya’ will pen the script for this project which will happen only by the early months of next year.
