There is no escape for Murali Sharma from policeman roles.
The last time we saw the actor as the security chief in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.
After the movie got released he had told that after playing the role of cops in several movies, he is no longer inclined or interested in again putting on the Khakee uniform for the big screen.
But he had to say "yes" to the role offered to him in the soon to be released bilingual film 13B having Madhavan in the lead role.
The reason is that unlike his past cop roles, this role is very different and was very much refreshing for Murali.
The actor says Every time I make up my mind to movie beyond the role of a policeman, I end up doing it in the next project. Not that I do not enjoy such a role, it is just that I would not like to limit myself. In this movie I play a cop, who gets into everything else, but policing crime and criminals. It is a thriller and I fight the unseen.
The movie to be released on March 6 turned out to be special to Murali in another way too.
By saying yes to the makers of 13B he got a chance to work with Madhavan after a long break of 13 years.
It was in the project called Sea Hawks directed by Anubhav Sinha that Madhavan had Murali had teamed up previously.
Murali will also be seen soon in a movie titled as Salon directed by Nikhil Bhatt.
