Her maiden venture in Tamil 'Subramaniapuram' has created a record of sorts. It not just witnessed a bumper opening at the box office, but went to rewrite the history of Tamil cinema.

But the young girl Swathi, who played the female lead in the movie, has not committed any flick after the 'Subramaniapuram' success though several offers came her way. Says Swathi, 'I know that it was a very big gap in Tamil cinema. I came across several scripts. But nothing impressed me'.

Swathi says, 'for me, a script should be engrossing. Like 'Adavari Matalukku' and 'Subramanipuram', it should have substance. I am currently busy with Telugu projects. Hopefully I would be back in Tamil soon'.
