To counter the exploitation of the films and increase the money that can be made from a movie UTV has come up with a novel idea.
After just three weeks of its release 'Oye Lucky Lucky Oye' is going to be the first Indian film to be telecasted through two most popular DTH platforms- Dish TV and Tata Sky.
On 18 December the humorous flick about the antics of a thief will be beamed by both Dish TV and Tata Sky.
However the movie cannot be experienced for free.
'Oye Lucky Lucky Oye' will be available at Rs.100 to end consumers on a pay per view basis for download for 24 hours.

This could form a growing revenue stream for all movies going forward".
COO of Dish TV, Salil Kapoor says "The premier of this film will enable our 4.6 million subscribers to enjoy the latest and best of movies in the comfort of their home. Chief Content & Business Development Officer of Tata Sky Ltd, Mr. Unnati Sinha says "Broadcasters today understand the importance of movies on DTH and this a welcome movie. A movie on DTH enriches the pay per view (PPV) experience and becomes an appointment viewing for the customer. On PPV, new movie releases enables both parties to monetize as well as kill piracy".
