Meanwhile, mounting more pressure on Rajinikanth to start a political outfit, his fans convened a meeting in Chennai on Sunday to discuss their future strategy and threatened to go on a fast unto death until he forays to politics.

However the actor has been maintaining a discreet silence. A few days ago, a section of fans of Rajinikanth floated a political outfit in Coimbatore.

Meanwhile, the office-bearers of the fans association from various districts including Madurai, Thiruvallur, Tiruchi, Theni, Villupuram and Kanchipuram attended a meeting in Chennai today to discuss their future course of action.

An office-bearer of the association said, "We want to convey our desire to him. We are not eyeing a plum post in case he ventures into politics.”
