Sanjay Dutt has shown an actor's responsibility towards the society in a different way.

He has cancelled the grand party which was to be held today night in Cape Town for celebrating his 49th birthday.

His wife Manyata had planned the birthday bash and it was kept a secret so that it turns out to be a surprise for Sanju.

The invitations were sent to around 150 people who mostly consisted of the members of the unit and cast of films 'Chatur Singh' 'Luck' and Kal Kisne Dekha'.

These three films are being currently shot in South Africa.

But Sanjay somehow came to know about the secretly planned party.

As soon as the actor heard about the recent bomb blasts in Bangalore and Ahemadabad, he thought that it is not good to go on with the celebrations as lots of people have lost their life as well as have got gravely injured back home in India.

He after discussions with his wife cancelled the party to be held in a restaurant and personally called all the people who had been invited to inform them that the bash has been shelved.
