C T Pandian, director of 'Anthony Yaar' starring Shaam, was reportedly assaulted by his associates recently.

The incident has created kafuffle around Kollywood circles. The film was being shot in Ori village and is about a fisherman and his travails. Pandian reportedly used derogatory words at his assistants while filming.

After the shooting for the entire movie was over on Sunday, the associates and assistants of Pandian picked up an argument in a quest to mete out justice. In a fit of rage, they allegedly assaulted him inside a locked room.

'Pandian had abused us during the making of the movie. We did not retaliate as we thought it would affect the progress of the shooting. Once the entire shooting was completed, we picked up the issue with him', they said.
