Director Selvan, who had earlier directed 'Soor'i starring Vignesh, is back after a break to do a movie for the coveted Kavithalaya banner.

The movie stars Jeevan and newcomer Meghna in lead roles.

Says Selvan, 'Krishnaleelai is not a Manmadhaleelai remake. It is about a youth who fights for a cause'.

'K Balachander was very impressed by the story. When I suggested Jeevan's name as the hero, K Balachander readily agreed and gave the go- ahead to start the project', says Selvan.

Jeevan who has witnessed a good year with back-to-back hits in 'Naan Avan Illai' and 'Thotta' is also optimistic of Leelai's magic.

"It's a dream come true experience for me to be part of a KB film so early in my career", Jeevan says.
