Varnachithra Films, who had been the producers of some of the big hits of Mollywood, is planning even bigger projects for the near future.

The banner headed by Subair, is presently associating with Capitol Theatres of director Renjith, to produce the new movie 'Thirakkatha'. This Prithviraj starrer, a satire on film industry will be presented in the new banner Varnachithra Big screen and Capitol theatres.

Subair, a close friend of ace director Lal Jose, forayed into filmdom with the super hit 'Meesa Madhavan' which propelled Dileep to super stardom.

Thereafter, Varnachithra produced some big hits in ‘Manassinakkare’ and ‘The Speed Track', while their other productions like 'Pattalam’ and 'Udayon' bit the dust, with no significant openings.

Varnachithra is planning a few big projects for the next few years which include the Ranjan Pramod -Mammooty movie, Padmakumar-Mohanlal film and Mammootty-Major Ravi movie.
