Twenty-five of top women achievers from varied fields were felicitated at the Kelvinator GR8! FLO Women Awards 2008, held at the ITC Grand Maratha on 26^th February 2008.

Informed Shashi Ranjan, Publisher Gr8! Magazine, “This is the seventh year in a row that we have felicitated women achievers in various fields for their contribution to their respective professions and society as a whole. Through this platform we recognize the achievements of women from a whole gamut of fields including Music, Television, Sports, Fashion, Literature, Dance, Journalism, Social Service, Film, Business & Advertising. ”

The evening saw Preity Zinta walk away with a GR8! special laurel. Preity was at her best with a couple of witty remarks. “Behind every successful man is a woman and behind every unsuccessful one there are two” was one of them. Wonder whether she was really had a message for Ness?

Preity also thanked her parents for allowing a girl child to be born and she stood firmly against female feticide.

The evening saw a dazzling mix of women achievers from various fields and spectacular performances by Alka Yagnik, Surveen Chawla, Jaswir Kaur, Kushal Punjabi, Kashmera Shah, Krushna, Rakhi Sawant, Abhishek, Suhasi and Gauri Nigudkar. Maninee De Mishra and Sumeet Raghvan anchored the show.

Also present at the show were celebrities like Priety Zinta, Waheeda Rahman, Indu Shahani, Hrithik Roshan, Yash Chopra, Nita Ambani, Ness Wadia, Aruna Irani, Mayor Shubha Raul, Annu Malik, Neeta Lulla , Yukta Mookhey , Rohit Roy , Poonam Dhillon , Ramesh Sippy and many others.
