Last week the Sanjay Manyata wedding was the most sought after news in Bollywood and in the entertainment sector. But after just two days of the wedding there was this news that Sanjays new bride Manyata was pregnant with is child. Now for the third time in a row this couple is in the news once again.
This time for a question being raised on the legality of the wedding.
The officials in Goa have ordered a probe into the marriage registration process of actor Sanjay Dutt and Manyata.
It is reported that Manyata had managed to acquire a resident status in Goa without residing in the state. It seems the couple had submitted their declaration of marriage to the sub-registrars office in Salcette on February 7.
There are reports suggesting that the South Goa district collectorate has questioned a local government officer who had issued the residence certificate to Manyata. A probe by the district collector has been ordered as to how Manyata could be issued a resident certificate while she was not a Goa resident at all.
For any marriage to be registered in Goa, either of the couple has to be a Goan, and it need to be certified by the local authorities.
The local officials are also inquiring as to how Manyatas declaration was accepted when she had not attached the decree of her divorce with the affidavit that was filed. The marriage declaration was registered in the Salcette sub-registrars office and it awaits final signature which is required to declare Manyatas marriage to Dutt's as legal.
