Latest on 'Robot': Earlier we reported that Nayantara is in the reckoning for ‘Robot’. The girl, who has acted with the superstar twice, is believed to be quite interested to grab this opportunity.

After ‘Sathyam’ with Vishal, Nayantara has signed up for a movie produced by Ayngaran, featuring Vijay in the lead.

The only hiccup for the actor is that ‘Robot’ requires more dates than she gives for any film - almost double.

The initial buzz over ‘Sivaji’ put Trisha on race and so is the case with ‘Robot’ as well. Trisha has handful of movies at present in Tamil and Telugu. By the time the shooting for ‘Robot’ starts (most probably by July), she would have finished all her commitments. The grapevine says she might be lucky enough to get chance to act in ‘Robot’.

Meanwhile, it is also rumored that the ‘Robot’ team is contemplating with the idea of going with Shriya again. Since she is also doing a Hollywood movie, her presence might bring in more business in international centers.

Earlier, there was a buzz that Deepika Padukone, the latest sensation in Bollywood, would be roped in. The team has neither denied nor confirmed the news. Her successful maiden venture ‘Om Shanthi Om’ has propelled her into stardom overnight. Her inclusion would definitely enhance the business in Hindi belt and in international centers.

The team is now working on the script and shooting of the film is expected to be started from July. Writer Sujatha, Shankar’s long term team mate, will be in the team. Now the story discussion is going on.

Tail piece: It is almost confirmed that Shankar has booked the young and happening cinematographer Nirav Shah. Keep watching this space for more details.
