The script will be there permanently for the reference of cinema students. The Askhay Kumar starrer was a rib tickling romance of a Punjabi guy with a through bred British. The academy has got in touch with Vipul Shah directly to procure the script.
It seems more and more Bollywood films are on the international radar now. "Yes it seems so that we are on the radar as we didn't make any particular attempts to reach out the library but out the blue I received this call requesting for the script. They are now keeping track of what's happening in Indian motion picture scene."
Namastey London will be one amongst masterpieces like Finding Nemo, Million Dollar Baby and The Passion of the Christ that have got this honour. Before this you have biggies like Devdas, Kal ho Na Ho and Lagaan from Indian film industry to be part of such a prestigious library.
The library has collections of more than 32,000 books; 1,800 periodical titles; 60,000 screenplays; lobby cards, over 8 million photographs; over 300 manuscript and other special collections relating to prominent industry individuals, studios and organizations; sheet music, music scores and sound recordings; production and costume sketches; artifacts; and oral histories.
