Vishal is busy shooting for his Malaikottai at Tiruchi. Director Boopathy Pandian is shooting a song sequence featuring Vishal and Priyamani in the area.

The director, fresh from the success of Thiruvilayadal Arambham, is thrilled at working with Vishal.

The tall, dark and handsome hero of Tamil cinema, Vishal, is happy that he was chosen for Kalaimamani award this year by the State government.

Speaking at the sets of Malaikottai, he says, “I am happy to get the award so early in my career. No doubt I consider it recognition to scale greater heights in my career”.

On Malaikottai, he says, “It is an engrossing tale of an angry young man. I fell in love with the script when Boopathy Pandian narrated it to me”.

On his part, the director said, “It is about a young man who comes from a remote village to Tiruchi with a purpose. Vishal is an apt choice for the role. Malaikottai is a bloody cocktail of action, humor and romance”.
