Silambarasan, who is busy shooting for Kalai, took time off his busy schedule to watch a special screening of Chennai 600028 in Chennai a couple of days ago.

Silambarasan was greatly impressed with the movie and immediately chose to distribute the film in Madurai region.

The actor-director reportedly paid a huge amount and obtained the distribution rights for the movie in Madurai region. After watching the film, he heaped praises on director Venkat Prabhu.

The movie is about gully cricket and a group of friends who fight it out on the ground. Yuvan Shankar Raja's catchy musical score has created a great hype for the movie.
