It is now the trend of remaking yesteryear Tamil classics. The likes of Naan Avanillai, Billa and Johny are getting ready for a new version. Jeevan is playing the lead role in K Balachander's evergreen classic Naan Avanillai, while Ajith is tipped to act in Rajinikanth’s yesteryear blockbusters Billa and Johnny.

Bitten by the remake bug is Bharath. The young actor who has managed to hog the limelight playing sensitive roles in movies including Kadhal, Veyyil, Em Mahan, Pattiyal and so on, is aspiring to do the remake of a Rajinikanth film.

Currently shooting for Koodal Nagar and Killadi, Bharath says, “I want to act in the remake of Rajinikanth’s Padikaadhavan. It is a different film from the Super Star. It had no punch dialogues. Rajinikanth was part of the script. I wish I could do the remake of this film in Tamil.”
