Mahesh Babu goes the Chiranjeevi way. The mega star had appeared in a commercial for the popular softdrink brand Thumps Up. Now it is turn of Mahesh Babu to follow the foot-steps of Chiranjeevi.

Recently the ad commercial was hot in huge sets in Mumbai featuring Mahesh Babu doing dare devil stunts. It would telecast in all channels coinciding with the World Cup cricket. Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu's Athidi is fast nearing completion.

Up on completing the film, sources close to the actor say that he would be doing a film for Tamil director Ramana who directed blockbusters in Tamil including Vijay's Thirumalai and Dhanush starrer Sullan.

It would a typical Mahesh Babu film with action and humour, they add.
