Now it is official. Kamal Hassan himself is writing the dialogues for Dasavatharam along with Crazy Mohan as has been said before.
A press handout from Oscar Films, the producers of the film, has Kamal's name appearing opposite the credit line of story, screenplay and dialogues.
Kamal had written the dialogues for Mumbai Xpress and Virumandi in recent times.
The press handout gives several interesting snippets about the movie.
For one, the story does not straddle between centuries, but between millennia.
Kamal starts off as Rangaraja Nambi who gets under sea along with a Perumal idol. Immediately, the story jumps off 1000 years later, with Kamal being shown as a scientist in America.
The film was shot in many high-security labs in the US. Normally, permission to even enter these portals are denied. But the film crew got special permission to shoot there which in itself, kindles a fair amount of curiosity about the movie.
In Malaysia too, the film has been shot in many unique locations. Further, the shots of Kamal in a 747 Jet is said to be very extraordinary.
In both the US and Malaysia, wherever the shoot was held, the public couldn't realise that Kamal was shooting as they were not able to identify Kamal in his astounding make-up. Mosher, a make-up artiste from America, has done some amazing work on Kamal.
The director K S Ravikumar says that the film will take his career to a new dimension.
Cameraman Ravi Varman, on the other hand, says that the experience he has got from the movie is comparable to studying in an institute.
Out of the 10 avatars, eight have been shot. Kamal is ready to shoot for the next two now.
Oscar Ravichandran is leaving no stone unturned to make the film get that rich and regal feel.
Now with so many facts about the film revealed, it looks like Kamal Hassan's fans can look forward to a celebration of sorts.
