The famous Muniswaran temple at Burma Colony in Chennai witnessed the coming together of several thousand people named after Muni, for the shooting of a song sequence for director Saran's home production Muni.

The movie being directed by Lawrence Raghavendra features Raj Kiran in a prominent role. To coincide with the audio launch for the movie, Saran had announced a unique contest to gather all those named Muni at the location. They were given special gifts and all of them appeared for a song sequence.

Muni has musical score by Bharadwaj and it was launched at the temple on the occasion.

Lawrence Raghavendra, Saran, art-director Mohana Mahendran, Vinu Chakravarthy, Kadhal Dhandapani and Raj Kiran were present on the occasion.
