Ajith's Aalwar is ready to hit the screens this Pongal. The audio of the movie set to tunes by Srikanth Deva, was released on Wednesday.

It was a soft launch sans any celebrations or festivities. The audio track has six songs penned by Vaali.

Aalwar will open in seven prominent screens in Chennai on Pongal day. Being directed by Chella, the movie is produced by Mohan Natarajan.

Says Chella, "Everything went as per our plan. We started the movie and completed the shooting as per plans. Now everything is ready and we are ready and raring to go for a Pongal release."

With a rejuvenated Ajith after Varalaru's hit, expectations are high on Aalwar.In the movie, Ajith sports a youthful look and giving him company is Asin. Vivek is also in the cast.

Vijay will have his Pokiri released on the same day. So its going to be a real cracker of a contest between Ajith's and Vijay's fans.
