Giving the young heroes a run for their money is Arjun. The veteran actor is still oozing abundant energy and with his strong physique and good looks, he is continuing to scale greater heights.

An actor—cum-producer-cum-director Arjun, is a busy man today acting in a couple of films besides producing one starring Arun Vijay.

Says Arjun, 'In my forthcoming release Vathiyar, I play a teacher. How he plays a role in cleansing society is narrated in an interesting way.'

Vathiyar was slated for Deepavali release was then put off. Then, it was supposed to release yesterday. Again there were some hitches. Now it will make it to the theatres today.

On his forthcoming films, Arjun says, 'I am part of Bharathiraja's bi-lingual featuring Nana Patekar in the lead role. Working with Nana Patekar has been a great experience. He is playing a movie director and I am a CBI officer. It is a murder mystery.'

Though he has acted in over 100 films and directed just half-a-dozen movies, the actor says,'Wielding the megaphone gives me more joy. Responsibilities are more and it gets the best out of you.'

Some of his future plans include coming up with a state-of-the-art studio in Chennai similar to Ramoji Rao in Hyderabad.
