Shaji Kailas movie begins

The shooting of Shaji Kailas's Baba Kalyani commenced in Ernakulam on Sunday.

The movie features Mohanlal in the lead role. A busy actor in Malayalam who has been rendering back-to-back hits in Malayalam since his Thanmatra last year is hopeful that Baba Kalyani would click.

The shooting commenced in Ernakulam last week. A few scenes involving Mohanlal was shot in the huge sets erected for the film.

Mamta Mohandas, who recently ventured to Tamil to act in a movie opposite Vishal, plays his heroine.

Antony Perumbavoor produces the film for Aashirwad and plans are on to have a Christmas Release. Meanwhile, Mohanlal's Photographer will grace theatres on 21 October.
