Bollywood was shocked yesterday evening when news about Kangana Ranuat's sister Rangoli attacked in an acid attack reached the town.

Based in Dehradun, Rangoli and her friend were attacked by a man who came to visit their house and threw acid on them. While Rangoli had around 10% burns, her friend managed to escape with minor injuries. Doctors say that injuries are not of serious nature and while Rangoli's eyes were safe, her face would be in a good shape soon too.

Mahesh Bhatt, whose 'Woh Lamhe' starring Kangana in the lead has just released and is doing well at the box office, said, "This is a condemnable act and deserves the most severe punishment possible. A way should be found that such heinous practice of causing an injury using acid is stopped completely. Also, apart from nabbing the criminal at the earliest, best possible medical treatment should be provided to Rangoli and help should be extended to help her come out of the trauma".
