Jimmy Sheirgill is the surprise packet of this week’s release ‘Bas Ek Pal’. He is surprisingly composed and treats the various shades of his role with astute deftness. It beats me why such a talented actor has to waste himself in such inane films as ‘Tom, Dick and Harry’ and then go ahead and do an incredibly miniscule role in ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’. Beats me.

He started off his journey with Gulzar’s ‘Maachis’, got a fresh lease of life with Aditya Chopra’s ‘Mohabbatein’, Tigmanshu Dhulia’s ‘Haasil’ earned him god reports (It’s another story that Irfan Khan hogged all the great reviews), Soojit Sarkar’s ‘Yahaan’ was appreciated by the critics and now with ‘Bas Ek Pal’ Jimmy proves that he understands the grammar of emotions. Here’s looking forward to seeing Jimmy Sheirgill in meatier roles in the future too.
