After a brief delay, Sarath Kumar is all set to recommence shooting for his 100th film Thalaimagan soon.

With the director R D Balaji backing out after the initial phase of shooting, Sarath Kumar has now taken over the mantle of directing the movie.

The movie produced by Radhika Sarath Kumar has Sarath and Nayantra in the lead roles.

Thalaimagan is supposedly an action thriller where Sarath Kumar is a bold, fearless investigative journalist. The movie features Seema Biswas (Phoolan Devi in the Hindi film Bandit Queen) as a police officer.

Recent Assembly elections, pullout of the director and the elections to Nadigar Sangam hampered the movie's shooting. Now with all issues over, shooting would begin soon.

Plans are on to get the movie released this Deepavali. Meanwhile Sarath Kumar has completed shooting for Gowtham's Silandhi.
