Director Major Ravi whose debut venture Aran releases Friday is optimistic of the movie's fortunes.

Ravi, who had earlier served the Indian military, had shot the movie in Jammu and Kashmir especially in sensitive areas where the militancy is on a high. A few scenes were also shot in Afghanisthan and near the LoC.

The movie featuring Mohanlal and Jeeva is about the operations of the elite commando force in keeping the ultras under check.

Ravi will again embark on a journey to all those areas where he shot his film. But this time for a different purpose. He is planning to shoot a series called Making of Aran where he would be capturing the hills and dangerous spots in Jammu and Kashmir where he shot the film.

He has obtained necessary approval from the Indian Military for the purpose.
